The Client
General Electric is a global leader in innovation, with a rich history of transforming industries through advanced technology and engineering. From pioneering developments in aviation and healthcare to leading the way in renewable energy and digital industrial solutions
The Client
GE wanted its annual report to communicate the company’s evolution into a “Digital Industrial” leader. The goal was to highlight initiatives like additive manufacturing, smart infrastructure, and digital integration across its businesses, presenting complex innovation in a clear, engaging, and forward-looking way.
The Client
Led the creative vision for this innovative Annual Report, shaping the UI, graphics, and printed report while collaborating with designers, developers, animators, and editors. Helped plan and execute the 360º video shoots, ensuring the visual storytelling supported the report’s strategic narrative.
This annual report immersed stakeholders in a 360° environment, letting them explore GE's power stations and turbine plants while offering a close-up view of the company’s additive manufacturing and digital industrial advancements.
Early concept art
The video team traveled to these GE locations, set up a state-of-the-art 8K 360º camera, and worked closely with GE employees to capture "moment-in-the-life" footage.
360º video tests
360º interaction tests
Once we captured the necessary footage, we began working on the interactive portion of the project. Users could choose between two experiences: one focused on additive manufacturing in a turbine engine plant, and the other on digital industrial advancements in a power plant.
Users could then explore a 360º video space, complete with animated details and an interactive user interface.
Users could then click on nodes, strategically placed within the 360º space, to dive deeper into the inner workings of GE’s innovations and progress.
An added bonus is that this experience worked seamlessly on mobile devices and VR sets.
